Web site slow to open
Hi David,
It may be just my PC playing up but today the web site is slow to open. Once it is open the pages load fine. It's just that initial first click to open the web site.

I'm experiencing the same problem, but it seems persistent not just the first page opening.

Moderators and 'very close' friends with David are obviously getting preferential access treatment

I don't think it has been as fast since David switched platforms, although today is about the worst its been, I am using Firefox and I wonder what Cubie and Moby are using.

Re: Web site slow to open
Web pages on the forum are still slow to open, albeit intermittently. One minute they are dragging there heels the next they open normally. Very strange. No problems with any other web sites though!
Anyone else apart from towny44 and me experiencing this?

All seems OK for me at the moment - perhaps it is time you paid your electricity and telephone bills!

Ask a silly question
This sounds a bit like my old internet provider. They would say 'check this, check that, and you're the first person who has reported a problem'. And nine times out of ten the problem was with them, which in the end they would reluctantly admit to.

I thought it was just me. My IPad has only just been able to open this site. Did not open it at all yesterday.

Re: Web site slow to open
I have to admit it has improved a bit today, but I put that down to Smurfy finding he had had his foot on the brake without knowing.
However it is still a lot slower than it was on the old platform, which seemed to find the page even before I had pressed the button.
