1. standing on Shirley Heights looking down over Nelsons dockyard
2. walking across Mayreau to the North beach and finding we had it to ourselves (for an hour anyway)
3. first taste of the chocolate sphere in Sindhus

Has to be sharing our table with James Martin after our 45th Wedding Anniversary celebration meal in the Greek Islands, the venue was La Luna on Ocean Village. P&O wise it was having a Suite on Aurora for our 50th.

Sitting with John on the outside part of the Epicurean on Azura leaving St. Maarten late so it was dark, and seeing all the lights of the island gradually fading as we sailed away while having a fantastic meal. It was magical!

I've always been an Only Fools and Horses fan. Whilst joining a queue to board Oceana in Lisbon right in front of me was the late John Challis (Boycie) with his family. He chatted away about the cruise saying how much he was enjoying it. I couldn't speak, star struck I was.

Cruising out of Venice in the twilight stood in Crow's Nest on Aurora, following the navigation lights. By this time the little streets were deserted, lit only by street lamps. All incredibly atmospheric.

Yes Mob, it was a memorable occasion and made all the better by the two P&O representatives who treated us like VIP guests from start to finish…just a shame Foxy didn’t get an invite

I think my most memorable moments would have to be the company we have shared in the MDR. I have no idea if this is true as I have only ever had great table companions during the 5 cruises we have taken, but I would imagine not getting on with your table companions could impact greatly on ones enjoyment of a cruise?

It can do OL.
Only once have we had undesirable dining companions and that was on Oriana table for eight.
A very loud, dominating Scottish guy ruined the first three nights dining so we asked to be moved.
I think he actually thought himself to be amusing and a bit of a ‘character’
I just found him totally annoying as did Mrs B.
The next couple on a table for four were charming.
Ever since, we’ve done Freedom with a table for two.

As for cruise memories.
Going up the Nun’s Valley takes some beating.

We shared a table for four with Frank Manning and his good lady and that was a great experience. Great company and a jolly good wheeze. Probably our best dining experience although we once had Carolef and her husband on the adjacent table which highly entertaining. Does a table of 16 count?

Table of 16 ....No invite to the naming ceremony but at least you got to dine with the cabin crew

Not exactly a cruise, but it has to be the Adonia naming ceremony which included overnight accommodation onboard. A one off event that we will always treasure.

Another memorable occasion was standing on deck at 1.00 in the morning in Kongsfjord (?) having visited Ny Alesund earlier in the day. The captain cut the engines and we absorbed the perfect silence in this half light surrounded by snow capped peaks, glaciers, watching the icebergs drifting by. Total peace and solitude on board a lovely ship!!!

In February 2006 we did a full transit of the Panama Canal - from the Pacific through to the Caribbean Sea on a Celebrity ship - it was the highlight of the cruise for my husband. He was a chartered civil engineer and sat on deck all day totally absorbed in the journey and how the structure was built - something he could cross off his bucket list! Sadly it was one of his last cruises.

10 years ago this week I sailed from Southampton to the Caribbean and visited New Orleans - the sights the atmosphere the food - loved it all. It was a round trip on Oceana - 35 days - probably my favourite cruise.
