Our street party was a great success. Well done to the organisers. Close to 100% attendance from the 18 houses in our street and much enjoyed chatting to sone of those we don't see as often as those next door.

Fantastic weekend of TV coverage but why does it wind me up so when the Fools and Horses van is referred to (3 times) as a Robin Reliant? Common mistake but no one ever refers to a Cortina Ford, Viva Vauxhall or Minor Morris. Why pick on poor old Reliant?

And how did the word 'coronated' creep in? I always thought the Queen was crowned at Westminster Abbey but for the past four days we have been informed she was coronated.
Any ideas?

Mrs S and I had a lovely few days attending three venues. I was glad when Sunday came round for a rest and catching up with TV events.

Congratulations Ma’am

The BBC coverage was excellent with presenters who had clearly done their homework.
What a great four days and how refreshing to see the Royal Family members looking so relaxed with their children in the Royal Box. Everybody on the Mall having a wonderful time.

I was meant to be working in London for a couple of weeks but at the end of the second week the boss man asked if we wanted to stay on for another week to see the Jubilee. I thought why not, I get paid either way. Saturday was amazing, we partied most of the day and made it to The Mall on Saturday night but it was bunged so we found a spot in St James (?) Park and watched much of it on a giant TV (which was microscopic from where we were). I was very disappointed Betty didn't come down to say hello to us.

While the atmosphere was fantastic, I think watching it on TV at home would probably have given a better view and sound.

The TV coverage was very good but best of all ' one ' could whizz past the repetitive bits

We just drank past the repetitive bits :)

One of the topics of discussion going around was when people thought that she would abdicate ... some even thought it might have been a big announcement at the end of the Jubilee ceremony. Over the last few months she has seen that Charles and Camilla seem to be well liked and popular, and her health isn't the best ... it is time the old girl had a rest, she has served her country relentlessly and deserves to have some 'me-time'.

The reality is her message at the end was exactly the opposite. I'll carrying on being Queen for as long as I can with the help of my family. And the 4 days showed how well that will work.

I think Charlie is becoming the front man for the Royal family with the Queen taking a back seat. It makes sense you really can't expect someone of her age to carry on the pace of work she has been doing.

Charles & Camilla will doubtless take the reigns with her Maj operating in an ' advisory capacity' in the background. If she couldn't make it to the Gee Gees then it's deffo time for her to take a well earned back seat. Apart from that poor old Charles has waited a lifetime for his opportunity.

Wonderful coverage all through the four days of the celebrations leading up to the pageant, and finally the appearance on the balcony of Her Majesty. What a finish to an historical event.

She made a vow to dedicate her life to the service of the nation and that is what I think she will do. She's a wonderful lady who never puts a foot wrong.

How nice it was to see HM and the future three monarchs on the balcony. That doesn't happen every day does it? Pretty unique.

Me too, I don't think she will quit, as long as she retains her mental faculties.

That tea she had with Paddington proves there's nothing wrong with head. That was magic, just like her exchange with James Bond in 2012. Her body may let her down but she is as sharp as ever.
