We were on Aurora last October and found Sindu to be very good, A and B menus. Very friendly the staff and Chef.
Enjoy your cruise Merv.

Thanks Ray. Yes we've booked Sindhu for one evening, and The Beach House, which we've never done before for another. I've no doubt we'll also do the Glass House, probably for a lunch or two.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
We went to the beach house on Ventura. Food not particularly good, very warm restaurant with no air-con and to top it all everyone was dressed in casual wear on a formal night apart from us and a couple of others even though it's classed as a speciality restaurant. If we had known that we would have cancelled or at least changed to a different night.
As for the Glass House, we were looking forward to a meal in there but no food was available the whole cruise because of Norovirus and staff being used elsewhere for serving in the buffet and cleaning duties.

Stephen, bit of a bummer, the glasshouse, we enjoy going there mainly for a drink and the small plates at lunch.
We do like to turn out smart on a formal night ,and to be honest, most nights I have a jacket and tie. I always look at it from my angle, they are underdressed.

We've deliberately booked our specialty restaurants on casual nights because we enjoy formal nights in the MDR.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
So did we but we had no idea when the formal nights were. We just assumed the sea days would be formal nights. I think they make it up as they go along.

Yes, same here. I should have been more clear, we dress smart for speciality resturants and a lot of nights, black tie in the MDR.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 11 Jun 2024, 19:14We've deliberately booked our specialty restaurants on casual nights because we enjoy formal nights in the MDR.

Yes, us too. Though in my case often jacket but tie less often, other than the bow on posh nights. Had enough of ties in my working life.
We found the formal nights listed on our cruise personaliser or whatever it's called these days. Buy whether they stay as listed is anyone's guess!

Same here. Bl**dy weather.
Sunny one minute chucking it down the next.
I blame the government.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Merv, are you aware of the heated public benches in Alesund, a port on your cruise.
If you're not aware of them, they can be found at the Hellebroa Bridge, a 10 minute stroll from the ship.. They will be on your right , tucked down in the corner of the bridge looking over the little harbour.
Made of small tubes curved into the corner spot of the bridge ,they look just like a bench, but the novelty of them is they are heated, warms up your back side a treat.

Surely baseball posts should have been made on David's US cruise forum!

I've bagged two machines. Scandalous I know. But my two are the only ones in use. And I've set the stopwatch to ensure I don't overstay.

Are you a messy eater Merv. You've only been on the ship four days and you need two machines. ?
