Happy Easter from Ventura!

Unread post by Official Autopost »

Happy Easter from Ventura! 🐣⚓ That’s a wrap on an egg-cellent weekend.
The ship had some lovely Easter touches, and Amsterdam was the perfect place to spend the long weekend 💕

Yes you go ahead and enjoy your Easter....at least you're having a good time

I feel sorry for those who thought they were going on a short cruise on Aurora today and got an email telling them their cruise was cancelled because they were still doing a refit :(
They also said that as it was Easter Day, the call centre is closed so you can't speak to anyone :silent:

Nothing like getting plenty of notice. And that was nothing like it. And wouldn’t you think regardless of it being a bank holiday P&O would get someone into the office as a matter of urgency to take calls from passengers. It’s the same old problem, lack of communication.

Great work P&O…..not

It featured on our local Solent radio this morning. I expect people who have cruised many times will know there's always a risk of booking a short 3 night cruise directly following a refit. It's happened before that the short sailing will be cancelled because the refit ran over and wasn't completed in time. I certainly wouldn't book one but new cruisers wouldn't know this. Very many sad stories on FB. Feel very sorry for those who came down to Southampton a day ahead and stayed in a hotel, those who have taken a week off work, those who have booked pets into kennels, catteries or whatever. I agree with Stephen, P&O will have know there will have been many, many trying to get in touch with them and they certainly should have had some agents manning the phones to at least enable to passengers to be able to speak to someone rather than that email. However, as we know P&O and shoreside customer service do not go together.

they have been offered a full refund and £180 (I think ) compo. Can they claim consequential damages(Or whatever it's called) to cover insurance, travel, petrol hotels etc - £180 won't cover much of that.

oh and 20% off their next cruise
