A report on the police has shown they are taking longer to respond to emergency calls, that the number of crimes that are investigated and successfully ending up with a conviction are falling. I think it's something we already knew.
There is however a team of crack detectives who will be puffing out their chests with 83 convictions and 126 penalty notices issued bringing about £13,000 in fines. Mind you, it did cost £250,000, while the real criminals carried on robbing and harming.

I do believe you have under estimated the cost, I thought it was nearer to half a million.
But of course these sort of investigations along with trying to jail high profile celebrities for dubios decades old "sex crimes" have much more kudos, especially among the glory seeking higher ranks.
So is it any wonder that crimes against working class victims are left uninvestigated and unsolved.
