Good morning all. I'm beginning to understand why you nickname Celebrity "Calamity". We've booked to go on a ship's visit to Eclipse on Saturday. It took them a good two weeks before phoning to get payment. As of a week ago, I still hadn't had any joining instructions so emailed them. They said the full guest list would be passed to the ship on Tuesday, who would then email us all. Still haven't heard anything...

How come you have to pay? I thought ship visits were complimentary blah di blah to rustle up business?

Some are complementary, most aren't. I know HAL are and RC are/were complementary. Prices also vary. I only do the free ones because I'm tight

I am happy for Calamity to charge for ship visits, in fact the more the merrier as it keeps prices down for the real customers.

Think I'll give it a miss thanks - once you've seen a couple of ships they all blend into one! The only time I want to be on a ship is when it is sailing out of Southampton.

I've done one and I agree it is a wrench to leave the ship after a few hours when everyone else on board is in holiday mode and ready to sail off into the wide blue yonder !

Important notes:

 All guests need to bring the form of photo ID that they registered with – either a valid passport or photo driving license. This is for security purposes and failure to bring this will result in boarding being denied. **
 The pools and hot tubs are available for use during free time; please bring swim wear and towels if you wish to use them (weather permitting)
 During your own free time to explore the ship, areas that require payment i.e. Spa treatments, cannot be utilised during this time. Please do feel free to visit those areas and talk to our experts to find out more information.
 You will be given a drinks voucher to the value of $15 per person, please feel free to use in the bars noted on the voucher
 All guests will be escorted around staterooms (if available) and after lunch to the gangway to disembark
the ship to collect their identification from the security desk.
 You may take as many photos as you wish, but video filming is not permitted at any time, due to the security measures in place.
 We recommend that all guests wear suitable footwear to be comfortable whilst walking around the ship
 We will endeavour to show you some staterooms whilst on the tour, but please be aware this is not always possible. We will confirm this on the day.

Has anyone else noticed the hypocrisy of these tosspots? They hate all things Western and modern, yet are happy to embrace modern Western technology to propagate their vile campaigns.
