What about the review of Thomson Majesty, did it fail to tickle your taste buds?Dark Knight wrote:worry not Moby, I shall continue to let you enjoy your dotage in peace.

Had a great cruise, the itinerary was fantastic
The ship not as good as the 3 others we have been on with Thomson
It will be our last Thomson cruise till the newer ships arrive

Go back to pile it high Batty. You can have newer ships now, rather than wait 30 years till they're new enough for sleazy.

It's the dodging that's the satisfying bit Batty. Long may it continue.

But you gave up the option to try sofistkated Celebrity, and then switched to a downmarket coffin dodgers cruise line instead, and you'll only find 5P(ence)M on CMV.Dark Knight wrote:Too many others to try first Merv, before I settle for a coffin dodgers/Tbm cruise

Average age on our last one was 72 and not everyone who set off made it home! We even had an emergency helicopter evac by the Navy. Does that count as a coffin dodger cruise ?Mervyn and Trish wrote:On the plus side he'll feel at home then!towny44 wrote:But you gave up the option to try sofistkated Celebrity, and then switched to a downmarket coffin dodgers cruise line instead, and you'll only find 5P(ence)M on CMV.Dark Knight wrote:Too many others to try first Merv, before I settle for a coffin dodgers/Tbm cruise

Sounds more like a coffin not-dodger cruise. But you must have felt like a teenager in that company.

I think I was the only person on the ship, apart from the crew, who was still working !!

What I did catch is the customary post-cruise cough. Never seems to fail - always come back with something

I'm also a bit ignorant Jan, but after looking it up fortunately I don't seem to fit either, I've worked hard all my life for any wealth I have, and I don't think I dress like a popinjay, although I do become quite loquacious when I've had too much to drink.Jan Rosser wrote:Better add "ignoramus" to that greeting Batty - wasn't sure what you meantDark Knight wrote:Good afternoon Parvenus and PopinjaysI could perhaps try to say I was having a "senior moment " as an excuse

Re: Last One to Post Wins
As you know I have just been to Norway & Iceland on Arcadia, and we too had a passenger helicoptered off to hospital/ At the same time one of my work colleagues was doing the 'outer circle' version of the same trip, going to Spitzbergen, Iceland and Greenland on Fred Olsen's Boudicca. When I told him about the med-evac of our passenger he replied that " they didn't bother with a helicopter for our one - just put her in cold storage!"qbman1 wrote:Average age on our last one was 72 and not everyone who set off made it home! I thought that was standard procedure. Can't imagine a helo being called out just to remove a time-expired passenger
