We've got 7 formals on our upcoming Oceana cruise, and 28 casuals.

That's about the right mix for a longer cruise
Once every 5 nights is more than enough for anybody.

Normally, if there is such a thing, it's two formals every 7 nights, which in the new simpler code means 5 casual. That's fine for us. Any less would be dumbing down. (Exit stage left wearing hard hat and body armour)

The main problem has been the lack of correct info regarding this. It was showing as 3 dress codes on the cruise personaliser and all other info showed the dress code changing to 2 codes after the world cruise. When they boarded there was a leaflet in their cabin stating that it was now just 2 codes. The problem has been for the people flying out to join the cruise later who have telephoned P & O and been informed that there was still 3 dress codes. Others has phoned and told 2 codes. Aurora still has 3 dress codes on the world cruise. It does all appear to be sorted now and P & O have changed the web site to show just 2 dress codes.

David is right - but you will get the slippers if you are high enough up the Peninsular Club food chain !

If I remember rightly, you do get the bathrobes on Oriana (?)

These type of cabins on Arcadia are the standard ones. They are bigger than standard cabins on other ships but not as big as Deluxe cabins on some ships. But very nice.

So no goody extras like the robes.

Looking at Arcadia on the P&O website,it says that the Crows Nest has additional charge.? Has something changed? It has been a while since we sailed on her.

Several people have asked this. No, you pay for whatever drinks you purchase. You don't have to pay to enter the Crows Nest. It's a bar the same as others on the ship. The way it's been described makes people think you have to pay to enter, you don't.

Carole has confirmed nothing has changed, so again the question is, what does the P&O website mean when it says, the Crows nest has an additional charge.
What is the additional charge then ?

Presumably just for the drinks. Or a seat.

Looking at the website all the bars are listed as additional. Presumably to make clear P&O is not all-inclusive.

I am surprised that none of you intellectuals could work that out, maybe it needs a canny money saving Yorkshireman to understand such complexities.😀😇

Towny, it was obviously aimed at new cruisers, regular cruisers like myself knew all drinks are chargable and therefore wondered 'What the extra charge' was referring to.
Maybe P&O could have worded it differently to save the questioning.
As a Yorkshire man, do you suffer from the Yorkshire disease of short arms and deep pockets..
