Thank you Stephen, high strength Ibuprofen seems to be easing the worst systems at present, but I suspect a visit to the dentist will be needed before too long.

Plumber has been and gone, he told me what the problem was and how to fix it without being mugged for £60an hour plus vat.
nice easy fix, which will cost me a whole £30.00 instead of £120 plus vat and parts
and he put it down as a cancelled call out, so I wont get billed
there are still some decent people out there

No reason to sulk, we have Yorkshire day in mid summer when you need a good cool pint of Yorkshire beer, instead of mid winter like those silly Lancastrians, mind you they don't brew anything worthwhile drinking anyway.
