I tried it at immigration on the way home from Madeira

"Just show us your passport sir" was the reply

For the first time in ages I have just had a cheese & onion toastie, and an apple for lunch. For some reason I am reminded of the former member of this group who objected to me saying that my preferred fruit was a really nice pear.
