Our latest rumour is that Lidl intend to build a supermarket a mile down the road from us, that might make me review the love for my Tesco clubcard.

Since Waitrose closed you'd think our local Sainsbury's would be working hard to capture the custom.

In fact we've just abandoned them as our store of choice because we're fed up with their inability to keep their shelves full. Looks like one of those stereotype Russian stores when there's been another spate of panic buying most days.

The manager says it's not her fault. Someone else is responsible for sending stock to the store. I suggested that "someone else" should be fired!

I think that's a countrywide thing - ours is much the same. Mrs C is always whingeing about it

Our local Morrisons can't even stock it's own brand crinkle cut crisps. When asked why they are no longer stocking them the reply was 'oh it's a supplier problem'.

It's fried potato for goodness sake, how difficult can it be

Perhaps the 'taters grew too straight this year so not enough crinkles ?!

They are probably arguing about a price increase since crisps are 80% fat, according to a recent Daily Wail article, then the recent steep increase in fats and oils will need to be recouped by the supplier, who is probably awaiting supplies of new packaging with the lower net wts on them.
