I wonder if the grass will be dry enough to cut before the next lot of rain is due after lunch, or will I have to wait till tomorrow?

I thought grass looked greener, like in Ireland, when it rained a lot ... ours is starting to go yellow

You need to give it a good feed, Wilko have a good deal at present on Evergreen, a big 7kg bag for £8.

If you have pets just make sure it's pet friendly.

Not stopped raining since I fed the lawn last week. Been raining heavy here none stop from Sunday and the coast is taking a battering with the highest tide this evening and a following strong wind. The beaches did not have a chance to recover from 'the beast from the east' and here we are again.

It'll be different.
We are going down to Southampton two days before. It has worked out nicely being able to tag the Cunard ship visit on the Saturday the day before we sail. Makes it a bit longer break.
