While you're visiting Stoke you can get a quick Covid test at the drive through testing station in the car park. Possibly the best bit of any visit to Stoke.Manoverboard wrote: 23 Jul 2020, 11:26Your new avatar is brill even though it does remind me a little of ' Joe 90 'oldbluefox wrote: 23 Jul 2020, 09:49You never did like my new avatar....................![]()

So all that is left, apart from the test Centre, is the sheer excitement of driving along a completed section of the A500Mervyn and Trish wrote: 23 Jul 2020, 12:50It has. So don't bother bringing your salopettes or sun goggles.

Unless a vaccine comes avaliable you'll be better off booking a tin-can in Dorset somewhere...apparently they do a very good click and collect service.![]()

Three weeks in. Thank goodness for the bbq and sunny evenings.
As usual for me, We’ve gone miles over budget but I will say that the guy I booked to fit it is a proper tradesman.
So far, so good

We're thinking of having a new patio and some other landscaping in the garden next year - that's one way of using our Fred Olsen refund.
I've got the South America cruise booked for January 2022 - I have a feeling we will cancel that one. Whatever happens with the virus, the cruise now seems too long and too far from home after all that's happened.
Yesterday we went on a day trip by coach, and we had to pick up people from Gravesend. We could see poor old Columbus over the river in Tilbury - I felt quite sad, as I'll probably never sail on her again, now that CMV have folded.
