The very corner of our ceramic hob broke off. I tried to superglue it back on by applying a small amount of the glue to the broken-off piece. Unfortunately, the glue spilled round to the "top", it slipped out of my fingers and landed in the middle of the hob, where the glue worked as advertised. Fortunately, while superglue has immense tensile strength, it has poor shear strength, so a judicial knock from the side freed it. It is now glued back in its proper place.

Oh dear - it could have been worse - my friend asked her OH to put her eye drops in - you guessed it, he put superglue in by mistake! Very painful!

As you all seem to be stuck with superglue I will take the prize for winning.
I am not coasting it this week so will be keeping a watch on what you lot get up to, thats if it don't send me to sleep.

You're not missing anything, Mike, just the usual hangers-on trying to usurp my rightful place. Go back to sleep, my friend.

How could I do that and leave you all lonely - you may be attacked by a bat, or a cat, or a tat seller

I've never had a mishap with superglue which is one of the many reasons why I am the winner.

One of many reasons? There may possibly be one or two reasons why you think you may stand a remote chance of winning, but they are all outweighed by the buddha keyrings

Thank you for the thought, dear heart, but I'm peddling shiny blue torch keyrings. Far more practical!
