Big mistake with that remark.

Mrs S said you can forget your vaccine anytime soon. She just went onto the national data base and somehow your name happened to drop waaaaaaay down the list. ;) :)

I think we all have our favourite topics and some are better than others. Some topics I rarely look at since they just don't interest me. I suppose it's each to their own whether it's news items, politics, quizzes, Keefy's rat problem, chat topics, TV or whatever.

Anyway too busy thinking about that as we are busy counting the nominations for "Cruise Community Pinup Girl". :thumbup:

What a difference a day makes here. Yesterday tier 3 loads of traffic. Today tier 4 quiet as the grave. And the only real change is non essential shops shut. So.yesterday they were all doing non essential shopping???

A couple of days ago it was a nice afternoon so we decided we would go for our usual walk in the Lakes. Everywhere was heaving - all the little lay-bys, the car parks; it was so busy we left it and came home, just had a walk from home. I expect if it will be a bit quieter without all the visitors.

Six of our village friends asked if we would like to join them for a walk-by midnight New Year’s Eve drink…we declined.

“Schools are safe, people mixing inside aren't”

Boris Johnson (yesterday}

Is there not a contradiction in that statement somewhere?

I don’t know about any of you but to me he looked ill-informed and completely out of his depth at yesterday’s briefing…time to step aside me thinks.

Schools, restaurants, pubs are all safe if sanitised. If people follow the rules there is no problem. It's when they start ignoring the precautions and mixing the virus is free to spread.
That's how I understood it.

I fail to understand how this government can close most of the UK down and yet allow thousands of silent carriers to mingle in schools....just plain bonkers to me.

I make a prediction that the goverment will be forced to make a u-turn on this policy before the end of January.

Wasn't she the one who said she would not call a snap GE, and then went and called one. Boris has had smaller changes of mind and been absolutely lambasted for it.
