They were lucky to get as far as they did....it was at times like watching Football by numbers.... more imaginative coaching and less reliance on Harry Kane to score goals would have helped the team to play more positively.

Spain were all over them like a rash from the start.

Spot on OL. Considering the talent Southgate had at his disposal it was pretty turgid and frankly boring to watch. I must admit I am no fan of this possession based football constantly passing sideways or back especially when in a promising attacking position. At times the tempo reduced to a walking pace, the players not looking as though they had a clue what to do with it. They just didn't seem to be playing as a team, looked half asleep and were totally devoid of ideas.
By comparison Spain were full of running, moved the ball quickly and were a constant threat right through midfield to the strikers. The better team definitely did win. We just didn't look interested and why the likes of Palmer and Watkins were kept on the bench for so long is a mystery to me. We only seemed to come to life when they came on.
Time for Southgate to go and he can take Harry Kane with him. Please. Maybe bring in a Klopp type manager who has a bit of passion and determination.

I'm applying for the Manager job. I have a simple formula for success. Score more goals. It worked for Spain.

I've got a better plan - pay them on the number of goal scored, no goals = no pay.

It's a good job none of you no hopers stand a chance of being appointed England manager.
I would much prefer that the manager is english, but I recognize that finding one from among the ranks of the current premier or even championship clubs is highly unlikely. So we have to focus on training potential England managers from among the ranks of the current coaching staff, and hope that we can produce some diamonds from among their ranks.
To this end Gareth Southgate must be an integral part of that process, he may not be a Pep Guardiola, but evee his successes have been built on picking the best players available, and not enough of them are currently English.

Does Kane ever close his mouth. Not in a verbal way.

For my money I would give Eddie Howe a crack at the job. He has an impressive record of turning moderate performing teams into good teams in a very short period of time. He’s youngish, he installs an attacking style of football and he comes across as a chap that players respect.
I’m not so sure I would want Southgate influencing the FA as I’m not so sure he would favour anyone whose style of play/management is in stark contrast to his own.

He was born with a cleft palate which can affect your breathing…a mate of mine had the same thing... he always had his mouth open. Thou to be fair he also had a hole in his palate which impaired his speech.

I bet you feel awful now having taken the p*ss?

Southgate resigns….He did a fair job but he was always playing catch up as far as European football is concerned.

I’m off to see what odds I can get on Eddie Howe getting the job.

There was only ever one queen of hearts and we all how she was treated…come to think of it, one doesn’t have to think to hard to see the similarities between these two lovely ladies.

The only similarities I can see is both were manipulative and used the Press when it suited them.

And where was Charlie when Diana was supposedly doing this…doing his tampon impersonation no doubt.

But true...I’m only highlighting what Charlie has been recorded saying while cheating on his young wife…

P.s I don’t need lectures from you or anyone else on morality… especially where the Royal family are concerned.
