Website problem?
For the last couple of days, every page on the forum has open drop-down lists all over the screen. This is happening on both my Windows PC and my Android tablet

Re: Website problem?
Yesterday I did a major update to the forum software and due to the way some of the files were changed (not by me) there can be in some cases a few "strange" results. Doing a hard refresh of your browser (Ctrl + F5 on a PC) will clear the problem.

Thanks, David, I've had the same problem and that worked.
It's been working for me on Google Chrome, but not IE.

I had the same problem and cleared my browsing cache. That seemed to work

Thanks David, I'll try that when I get home. Does anyone know what the Android equivalent is?

Re: Website problem?
The only problem I have is a very brief flash of some letters in place of the photo on our header, too brief to register though, unless it's a subliminal message of some sort that's yet to be activated.david63 wrote: 30 Jan 2017, 07:29Yesterday I did a major update to the forum software and due to the way some of the files were changed (not by me) there can be in some cases a few "strange" results. PS might be "phpbb"

Phew - I thought for one moment you were copying another cruise forum with the word ' critic' in it which suddenly changed over the weekend and I found all the whiteness of the new layout was hurting my eyes.david63 wrote: 30 Jan 2017, 07:29Yesterday I did a major update to the forum software and due to the way some of the files were changed (not by me) there can be in some cases a few "strange" results. I checked just now and it has reverted to its original format, presumably after some critical input from regular users.

Re: Website problem?
Thanks again, David, Chrome on the PC is now displaying the forum correctly, but I can't see how to resolve the problem on my Android. Rebooting hasn't helped.

Apart from the instructions bearing no relation to my Android, I eventually found the section alluded to and it's made no difference at all

Re: Website problem?
Sorry - do a Google search on "hard reset browser on xxxxxxx" - it should point you in the right direction.
Which browser are you using on your Andriod device - I use Firefox and those instructions basically work

Re: Website problem?
Hi David
I'm using Chrome, but recently it's started opening all emails "not" in the main browser (I know that doesn't make sense) with a menu option to open n Chrome proper, and there is a banner at the top with a "back" button to return to the message. When I get home tonight I will try to photograph it (I don't think I can do screen dump on the tablet) so you can better understand what I mean

That's because I did a bit of "magic" last night - wasn't sure that it would work, which is why I did not mention it.

If your toast always falls on the buttered side it means you have buttered the wrong side.

Has he promised you Paradise with a thousand virgins if you become a mod? Take mine and Mob's advice and don't do it.
