A Simple Face Mask
I'm useless at anything practical, but even I managed to make this simple face mask:

Well I have plenty of single socks(hoping that one day the other sock may appear) after putting them in the laundry basket.
Where do those missing socks go???

Re: A Simple Face Mask
That sock mask is very clever. My husband has been fashioning masks from old t shirts this afternoon. I also bought a few washable masks from eBay a couple of weeks ago, as I felt that we were heading down the road to face coverings. I haven't actually worn one yet, but will do at my next scheduled Sainsbury shop next week. When I tried my masks on, I found it very uncomfortable, quite claustrophobic

Re: A Simple Face Mask
Gill, I felt the same. I made one out of two layers of a cotton t-shirt but my son has also ordered us some which should arrive this week. I'm really not sure that I will use them because I felt as though I couldn't breathe properly when I tried the homemade cotton one on. I think I will end up pulling them on and off every 5 minutes just to breathe properly and that rather defeats the whole point.Gill W wrote: 12 May 2020, 16:15When I tried my masks on, I found it very uncomfortable, quite claustrophobic
We rarely use public transport and we wait till late afternoon to go to the supermarket when it is quieter so I'm hoping I might get by without one.

I’ll be Ignoring Government advise on just wearing face masks in enclosed spaces as I will wear one whenever I am out (when I start going out that is)…. rubber gloves and a bottle of hand gel is the way I’ll be going for the foreseeable future.

The face masks our son ordered for us arrived today. I look like I'm wearing a bra cup over my face and nose !!! I might just stick with the one I made - I just look like a bank robber in that one.

I wish I had chosen a better colour. This is not a good look.

A sort of Star Wars stormtrooper look about it, probably due to the colour!
