Forum partially down
Bit of strange one.
Forum works fine on my mobile but it's a no go on my iPad where I get the following error message.
ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

Re: Forum partially down
I don't think that's the forum. That's the online medical report from your doctor.

Your not far wrong actually Merv
Had my CT scan this afternoon with the hope I'd be going home. Turns out the dye didn't go all the way where it was supposed to. On top of that it showed there is blood accumulating around the kidney.
So, as and when they can slot me in they will do another CT scan and either X-Ray or ultrasound on the kidney.
On a slightly positive note while I'm here Orthopaedics are going to take a look at my painful knee with maybe having a go at aspirating it. That'll be fun.....not.
I think I'll put my name down for staff Christmas meal.

When you say partially down, do you mean the left hand side or the right hand side?

Re: Forum partially down
Blood thinning injection each day at the moment. Whether that will carry on once I get home only time will tell.

Doing some searching that error is being generated by your browser. I would hazard a guess that it is something to do with the connection at the hospital.Stephen wrote: 16 Oct 2022, 13:56Bit of strange one.

Blood thinner injections... they're b****y sharp!!!
Likely you'll be on blood thinner tablets when you get home, but I'm not a doctor.

Ask if you can just consume large quantities of red wine rather than blood thinner!oldbluefox wrote: 17 Oct 2022, 10:26Blood thinner injections... they're b****y sharp!!!

(Someone I know was told they could halve their warfarin dosage if they had 2 glasses of red wine each day.)

Re: Forum partially down
The amount of red I drink I’m surprised my blood needs thinning. Someone’s been lying when they say it’s good for you

Mine didn't - but then again they used clean needles with mine, unlike the rusty nails that you have

Re: Forum partially down
You mean I’m supposed to have a clean needle each time
When they alternate needles between the four of us I thought that was normal. Fortunately It’s my turn to have first poke today

Re: Forum partially down
As an aside ... if you took Clopidogrel tablets, for example, then you would have to stop taking them for five days before they could perform any type of surgery. This would not be a good plan for anybody in Hospital hence the injections.
I'm not a Doctor either but it is deffo factual.

I've never taken blood thinner tablets or had injections before so this is all new to me.
Whether it's long term or not time will tell.
Just go with the the flow
