How do I except cookies to the forum?
I had a complete clear out of cookies and now the only way I can sign in is by going through
the 'contact us' portal.
It keeps asking me to except cookies but nothing to press to except them.
I hope I have made it clear what is happening.
When trying to log in the correct way, no sign in box and the front page topics show only the header but no detail of author etc.

Re: Cookies
I ' deleted cookies ' as per the link at the bottom of the page but I could not select which cookies I could and more importantly could not have. The only option is to click ' accept cookies ' which I think is totally unacceptable.
Are we in agreement Ray ?

Re: Cookies
Not sure what you consider "unacceptable" - this is no different to any other site on the Internet where you accept cookies.Manoverboard wrote: 17 Feb 2023, 18:03I ' deleted cookies ' as per the link at the bottom of the page but I could not select which cookies I could and more importantly could not have. The cookies that you delete via the link are the cookies relevant to this site - would you actually know which ones you wanted to delete and which ones you did not, and if you want to go down to that level then you can delete individual cookies via your browser.

Re: Cookies
once a month I purge cookies from my browser - but am careful to keep useful ones to save having to log in again!
if you go to settings, privacy and security, cookies and other site data, see all site data and permissions you can scroll through and cherry pick which ones to dump/keep

I’d sack him David for daring to question the site, according to Foxy.

Re: Cookies
Virtually every site that I use has a ' choice ' of accepting ' Essential ' cookies but they also provide the option to reject those that, for example, ship my data to third parties or use tracking capabilities.david63 wrote: 17 Feb 2023, 18:53Not sure what you consider "unacceptable" - this is no different to any other site on the Internet where you accept cookies.Manoverboard wrote: 17 Feb 2023, 18:03I ' deleted cookies ' as per the link at the bottom of the page but I could not select which cookies I could and more importantly could not have. Re: Cookies
You have the option to accept cookies and if you don't accept them then you do not have access - this is the legal requirement under GDPR.
As a side note there are no tracking cookies on this site.

Re: Cookies
I am again experiencing delays in accessing this site. It is again constantly asking me to log in and it takes ages to connect. It then takes ages to find the topic and then the page so I can post the cruise report.
I use chrome on my tablet.

Cookies on Cruise Community Forum from social networking sites
Cruise Community Forum may have links to social networking websites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter or YouTube). These websites may also place cookies on your device and Cruise Community Forum does not control how they use their cookies, therefore Cruise Community Forum suggests you check their website(s) to see how they are using cookies.
Can they do that with any posting or only those that are 'linked' to their platforms ?

Re: Cookies
I will carry on with as normal, once I get up the 'normal' log in page everything is working.
When opening up to log on, as I said, the page comes up with the topic headline but no last to post or how many pages until I hit the port or contact us, then I get a 'normal' opening page and log in.
I will go with that. Time for a cup of tea and a cookie.
