Hi all,

I have had a bad week and I am ashamed to report that I have put 1lb back on. Our son and DIL are visiting until next Sunday so I don't hold out much hope for next week either.

I find walking makes a difference, Sue, even just an amble into town most days and it keeps me away from the food cupboard. If I stay indoors all I can think about is food. Half of my problem is boredom so need to get some hobbies which keep me occupied.

Anyway, the main thing for you is to enjoy your time with the family.

I agree with Maureen Sue enjoy time with your family then get back on track.

I'm not even going anywhere near weighing scales this week as I know I have over indulged the last few days, the sticky toffee pudding last night was yummy ..very naughty but very very nice

Sue, Family gatherings, a long weekend and bad weather is a sure way to tempt even the most dedicated person. You will still get to your target it will just take a little longer.

Here in the Midlands it is cold, dark and raining, what else can you do to cheer yourself up but eat.

Good morning pinchers,

Just returned from a few days in them yonder hills in Wales having enjoyed the company of Robbie (AOTH) and his family. The good news is that we all survived Europe's longest zipwire (Zipworld) the bad news is that l tried to keep up with Robbies food intake and in doing so have gained 7lbs :o .....yeah, and you can keep it shut Darkpanties  . As you can imagine l'm still in a state of shock and feel disgusted with myself but one has always got to look at the positives and in doing so l still have plenty of time to get to my target weight of 11 stone 10 lbs.

Back on the Ryvita and cottage cheese from today.

Stay strong pinchers.....

Well done Alan/Maureen

Regards

Keith

Oh Keith, how frustrating for you especially as you were doing so well but like Jo said the main thing is that you enjoyed yourself. I expect you will find that those pesky pounds will soon disappear once you get back to normal eating and drinking.

I've already managed to sabotage my last week's loss as we met up with friends Sunday night and got through 2 bottles of wine and loads of nibbles so I know how easy it is to be led astray.

Em - glad to hear your trousers aren't going to keep falling down now you have a smaller size.

Maureen, yes it was quite epic when I was trying to dash UPstairs and the trousers were trying to stay DOWNstairs! It was so funny, and the jokes were absolutely flying!

Should we warn Betty's???? Hope you have a great time.

Meanwhile, I've got the other grandparents coming to stay for a couple of nights, and so the baking kit is well and truly out - but we keep on nibbling at the little decorations we've got ready to put on the cakes! Not a good plan - we are already on the second packet! Bother.

DarkestOne

Looking at your photo's you were probably in your 60ties when the Beatles released their hit record "long and winding road" which l presume was writen while they were traveling the same route that Robbie took on his epic journey too and from Zip World. A round journey of 128 miles doesn't seem excessive but rarely being able to exceed 40mph dose eventually take its toll.....next time he'll do better to do what we did and fly up by helicopter....we did offer to take him but he didn't think he could hang on for the 30 minute journey  .....He did however enjoy the other flight.

Don't think we will be doing afternoon tea in Betty's Em, we found this hotel the last time we were in York.

Afternoon tea looked delish but we couldn't manage it as we'd had a big lunch so we sat and drank and 'drooled' at the offerings with a promise of ...next time

Sue, Which ever order you do it in I am sure it will be fun.

I was very impressed about your chocolate bunnies, what you have done to keep your Grandchildren slim is highly commendable.

Hello all,
Lost 2lb don't know how...curry red wine and chocolate Friday, Guinness and fish and chips Saturday and full English and lager Sunday...

Have a good time in York ladies.

Keith...the best time to overindulge is with friends...cut down during the week...if you can. :sarcasm:
