Thanks all. Doing fewer cruises is not an option at the moment. We will only be back 8 weeks before we are off again for almost 3 weeks by then it will be mid September and we are away for just over 3 weeks at Xmas, then again in March for 2 weeks. Not moaning at all but it is vary hard to lose it in between cruises.

After our March cruise we have approx 6 months before we have another booked. I will just have to keep Garry away from the cruise brochures.

I will keep chipping away at the excess weight. I think the problem this time has been the lack of exercise. I need to get my mojo back but after the cruise.

Sue

It's a tough life Sue but someone has to do it. We've got a week in Devon ;)

Well done, Alan. It is nice when you see a good result.

I weighed in at 140lbs 8oz this morning - whether I will be anywhere near that in 2 weeks time is anyone's guess.

Good morning pinchers,

Firstly well done Frank, Alan and Maureen

Weighed myself on Wednesday with a lose of another 2lbs so one would have thought another lb would have been in my grasp by this mornings weight in? Alas, having watched the England match last night l had the choice of nibbling my fingernails or tucking into some jelly babies...guess which won that match. Ah well only 2 lbs to go to reach my goal of 11st 10.

Stay strong pinchers and remember...."too many chips puts pounds on hips"

Regards

Keith

good day, seal colony members
now as we approach the hottest time of the year, there is simply no excuse for gorging on burgers , pizza and curry, as an excuse to keep warm
you should all be nibbling away on one lettuce leaf and a slice of cucumber for you dietary intake and a cup of green tea or hot water with a smidge of lemon, for flavour

only by cramming less down your gullets , will you shrink your copious waistlines, are you listening Keefy lard a*se?

less is less, now keeeeeep nibbling

There is more to salad than a lettuce leaf and a slice of cucumber

I never tire of it but then I add rocket, peppers, radishes, raw onion, grated carrot, celery, cucumber, beetroot and of course cherry tomatoes, funnily enough NO lettuce .. I can't stand the stuff

With virtually no calories I can then justify a glass of Vino to wash it down ... ok maybe two glasses :o

I eat things like this most of the time so it is no hardship !!

DQ, Now I know where I used to go wrong. A salad ( with cress not lettuce) was only a substitute for vegetables . With potatoes, cheese, eggs and pork pie or steak would it be worse than your wine.??
I do miss it but fortunately (?) I can't eat anything like that now.

Oh I will have steak or chicken with salad Andrea although I'm not a big meat eater so I can equally enjoy just a large plate of salad.

Hi Jo,

Like you l enjoy a nice crunchy salad, especially so when it's dressed with "Mary Berry's" light salad dressing.

The only problem in this houshould is that both my wife and daughter aren't as keen on salads so it tends to limit the times when we have them. I do agree with you in that you can make a salad look like a feast if you use several different combinations. I always like to throw on some homemade croutons just for that extra tasty crunch....yum yum!

Regards

Keith

I'm lucky in that respect as my OH loves salad, I don't like any sort of salad dressing ( so not even a few extra calories there ) have not thought of adding croutons .. I'll try that

I'm a bit lower than my pre-op weight, but won't count my chickens until early next week. If I can stay at where I was I'll be pleased, and if I maintain the new 'loss' that will be a bonus.

Still watching what I eat though.

Hi Alan,

Take some comfort from the fact that we all have blips along the way so don't feel to bad as l'm sure you'll be back on track again next week  :)

With the combination of football and racing from Ascot l've been a real lazy git this week so l won't be surprised to be feeling as ashamed as you are by tomorrow mornings weigh in

Thanks for the encouragement, Keith. Of course, pigging out at my mate's birthday BBQ tonight won't exactly help matters either....
