My research, using Norton's safe search, seems to think she was built in 1948 and that it has had a chequered career inc a grounding in Brighton as the Athena and a couple of comprehensive re-builds ... I may have got the wrong ship of course so a second opinion may be a good plan.

thanks very much for that david63 and mob most interesting she certainly looks to have some interesting cruises for 2015 as we have had 1 cruise on Discovery last year and have another in September this year we know what the c&m product is like so are quite interested trying this ship in 2015 but really would be interested to hear from anybody who has been on her, the pictures in the brochure look great but we would like to hear from somebody who has actually been on her

Have a look on Iglu http://www.iglucruise.com/news/cruise-- ... _a19736062 you may find some information of interest here, according to this it was built in 1994. Hope this is of some help.

Graham, nobody has sailed on it as the first cruise is not until January 2015 but this may help as it is from the official website ... MV Azores. It states she was in fact ' rebuilt ' in 1994.

The itineraries for 2015 have been released .... will post them if located.

ps ... they are within the same wwwdot and are found using a Cruise search.
