Request for help - probably for the ladies
Hope someone can help me.
I have a rather nice pure linen tunic, but the fabric is very stiff and feels quite harsh. I have read somewhere that the way to soften linen is to boil it, but I am concerned that this will make it shrink.
Does anyone have any ideas, or shall I just send it off to the charity shop in the hope that somebody else doesn't mind stiff linen?

I don't have any ideas really but I would guess boiling would shrink it, have you tried soaking in fabric conditioner for an hour or so then tumble dry on a low heat .. I realise linen shouldn't go in a dryer but if plan B is the charity shop you have nothing to lose by giving it a try.
