Actually, it was a bit of a cock up on my part Dot - I had on my list to notify "cruise dot" of the new forum and I now realise I meant the forum "cruise.co.uk" By mistake I mailed you instead.

So just behave yourself or I'm for it ;-)

May only be me, but every forum needs an MM. HK will miss him dreadfully - and I think he would miss us too. Agree or disagree with him, he is always good value - and it makes us the 'lesser' if he's not around. He's been a member of cc since 2002 (as he is always telling us) and I for one would be glad to see him here.

I e mailed it to you..........But I'll say it in public if that's what you want...

Thank you Meg for e mailing me the link to this wonderful new forum...if it wasn't for you I would never have found it and will be enternally grateful for your e mail. :D

By the way I can't find the 'edit button'. There is one apparently but I'd be blowed if I can find it.

Moby

If you could either let me know Shirley's address or drop her a line yourself that would be great.

Perhaps it was your comment that DN was contacting him that gave me the thought Menace - very funny, but not very all-embracing lol.

Lules, i guess it's not for anyone other than the admin/moderator of the forum to decide who comes on here and who doesnt (and as importantly who stays).

I have concerns over the extreme nature of the views that got expressed towards the end of the P&O forum (thus the reason the party concerned was asked to avoid certain subjects) as these went beyond that person just being "a character" or "opinionated" and clearly offended many. But it's not for me to decide who we try to contact re the forum, I just thought I could co-ordinate it to save replication and/or P&O admin getting inundated.

And anyway, it sounds like the "foe" button can be used to block any one of us :-)

I completely agree Menace, but as you say, it is not for us to decide. Most of what MM said washed over my head, because as Ken would often say, I didn't self-elect to be offended by MM. He talked rubbish, I would read a half of his post, realise it was rubbish and not bother reading the rest - a bit like a TV programme - I have the remote control, I have the power to switch it off - or to ignore.

We can all get wound up by other people's posts and disagree completely with them - part of the interraction is to ignore and not respond when we know that a post is intended to provoke.
