Afternoon computerites - keeps asking me to update to windows 10 - I haven't mastered windows 8 yet! And if anyone can point in the right direction to reinstall google instead of yahoo on internet explorer I would be most grateful!

You're too kind sir, but since Microsoft moved fully away from the DOS platform, I'm having increasing difficulty in understanding what's going on.

I have that problem too, but in my case it's nothing to do with Microsoft or DOS!

Tinks, does IE not have a drop down box against the search engine facilty, if so you should be able to switch to Google.

As a Home Page ...

Display the Google Page - https://www.google.co.uk/ - and then select ' Add or Change Home Page ' via the drop down box next to the Home Icon. Make it the Home page ... et voila ?

Thanks for the heads-up re OO, Moby. I've got too much Windows-based software (plus a need to occasionally work from home) to ditch MS, but may well move to Ubuntu on one machine - I have tried building a dual-boot machine but it wasn't a success.
