The only french I heard last night was an ejaculation of "Merde alors!" when the rugby score appeared on the news,

I am on my own today too Jan - Tony is at a golf competition that seems to last all day! It's a miserable day here, not wet but grey, so I have lit the fire and am chilling out with all those recordings I haven't yet watched

Been working my little heart sawing up logs. And to top it all I'm fending for myself since the good lady has gone swanning off to Isle of Man with her mum visiting family.

So it's roast chicken dinner tonight......Should be interesting :o

Don't forget to take the giblets out Stephen - remember my first roast when we got married - it turned into a 3 course meal - veg first, then the potatoes and lastly the meat - no-one told me they stuffed a plastic bag of stuff up the chicken's backside!!!

Still laugh about it now and I can do a mean roast dinner now - practice makes perfect

These are some extras I picked up from our local hospital Moby. They had some small trees taken down and for some reason left several trunks behind. So after Mrs S got permission I went and cut them in half and had most them away in the back of the car. We already had just taken delivery of two 1 tonne bags of logs, but every little helps as the saying goes

The good lady is currently away otherwise I'm sure she would have only been too pleased to saw them up :shifty:

It was only a chicken breast Tink. I still couldn't find the giblets though.

Never mind the weather (though it is lovely here). I'm worried about poor old Stephen not being able to find his giblets. Not surprising Mrs Stephen's gone off elsewhere for her entertainment.

Well, if they've been in a plastic bag for a while they won't be much use to him anyway
