Allow me to help Shiney
The flower arranging furball that enjoys a game of bingo on a Friday night and breaks small childrens' hearts by not leaving them a treasure map in the caribbean is insinuating that your 'wondered what the smell was' comment was the level of humur that one might find in a nursery school.
What a git!
On our recent cruise we were standing at the lifts waiting for one of the kids to join us when an elderly lady arrived. She was on a stick and sighed as no lift had arrived after 10 seconds. Paul, who had previously called a lift and then left it as we were still waiting for child to arrive said to her "Sorry, I've just let one go". I was crying

Sorry, SS, it was an obtuse reference to your little joke with the Stroppy One - "I am off - wondered what the smell was". I'm sure I was in short trousers last time I heard that one !!

You didn't give any offence, so no need for an apology. I just wondered if it was a very oblique reference to garden nurseries rather than an ancient joke, which is still good for the occasional windupqbman1 wrote:Sorry, SS, it was an obtuse reference to your little joke with the Stroppy One - "I am off - wondered what the smell was".
