Just collected my new glasses. I look a bit like Ronnie Barker now so I should have no trouble getting to the front of the queue

That was my understanding. I believe it broke RB's heart that the son skipped the country to evade justice and he never saw him again.

Yes, I remember interviewing a lady who went awol for 'personal reasons'. It broke her heart to have to tell us her son had been arrested for tampering with children. She vowed never to have anything to do with him again and, sadly, she died soon after from a brain tumour.
