Exciting time at number two sons for xmas, we stayed the night and were woken up this morning at 7:30 by the flood siren, and spent all morning and most of the afternoon watching the water level creep closer. But fortunately it stopped about a foot short, however it was certainly an experience watching the normally small stream become a raging torrent, not too happy for those who were flooded though, and for the dozens of shoppers trapped in Morrisons as the water cut of their normal route home.

Dry here.

I feel for the poor soles that have been suffering the floods.

Going to a 65th birthday party this afternoon. It's a mystery how someone as young as me can have such old friends

Looks awful on the news - however, I guess I would rather be stranded at Morrisons than some other places!

Another visit to the dentist is now required after I lost a crown while chewing some nuts, my dentist thinks christmas is wonderful because it boosts his trade enormously.

A Christmas party a few years back cost me a cracked tooth and best part of £2,000 for the implant to replace it!
