Not really Wolfie ... if the site was to take ownership of the copyright then I would wonder if they would also take ownership of the responsibility for what is posted .. which it doesn't (and which is why everyone should be careful what they post on a public forum). It is different for commercial (and other) sites whereby editorial and paid works are the copyright of that site and reproduction would be a breach of copyright ... it is important to look at the copyright policy of any sites you use ... in most cases cutting out a few sound bites and providing a link to the original story is fine.

Anybody with any integrity will always acknowledge the original source.

Thanks Ken, I see what you mean.

I suppose that if any site took ownership of the copyright and therefore was also resposible for the content, some idiot/stalker/nutcase, could post something defamatory, an outright lie, personal information, etc. about another member and the 'owner' could be sued and not the idiot themselves.
