Evening all, the late shift is here. I've been locked out for a couple of days as switching to Windows 10 screwed up the passwords

Wasn't life simpler before we had 'passwords'.Not so ancient mariner wrote:Evening all, the late shift is here. I've been locked out for a couple of days as switching to Windows 10 screwed up the passwords
Had to laugh - HSBC threatened to suspend hubbies account as he had not completed his security letter. Phoned them up and before he could complete the security, he had to give his password. Informed them he had never had one as the account was opened over 30 years ago - to be told everyone has a password when they open an account - took about 5 more attempts before the penny dropped

The trouble with all these call centres is they work to a rigid script and if anything comes up that isn't on their list, they are buggered !

I know - they wanted to know how much he earned - refused to tell them - apparently the question was mandatory - to avoid money laundering - he refused to carry on with the security - so told him hubbie was on Employment Support Allowance (was true at the time after his recent op) -qbman1 wrote:The trouble with all these call centres is they work to a rigid script and if anything comes up that isn't on their list, they are buggered !
finally he apologised and said that's fine

I do think life must be awfully difficult these days for those without a pc or at least a bit of IT savvy

You working today - unusual for you to frequent us at the weekend.
I made a big mistake of ordering a parcel from Argos to be delivered today - could come between 0700 and 1800 - what a waste of a Saturday!

Watching Brissle Rovers play Newport? I'd have thought that waiting for the Argos man would probably be more exciting - and certainly warmer!

Evening my fellow posties - my argos man duly delivered (actually he was a yodel man) - unfortunately I got the ugly one today! Bristol Rovers won so OH very happy although his precious Chelsea could only draw against West Ham - which at least means Sunday lunch will be quiet as son in law is a West Ham supporter.
