No, it had reclining front seats and a small, conventional rear seat, which folded down to give access to one side of the engine.

It was great fun to drive and I only sold it because our first child was on the way and it was definitely not a family car

no, but it had fantastic fuel economy - I could easily get 60mpg, which was pretty good going in 1979

Call me shallow, but I fear fuel economy was not high on my list of priorities in 1979 !!

The RAF had a fleet of them as pool cars - I had to drive one once and needed to move the seat forward quite a way. The locking mechanism damn near took my finger off...

I learnt to drive in a Mini - probably why I still can't park!! - and my first car was a Mini.

Fond memories - although always had to bump start on numerous occasions

Morning Tinks I was beginning to think I was the only one up and about today.
I well remember our mini needed to be jump started a lot, they must have had very weak batteries, fortunately we lived on a hill so I could freewheel it down the slope to get it going. Only once did I get to the bottom without the engine starting, just lucky I guess.

both of you are delusional eejits
the last one to post is the winner and your amiable jibberish does not constitute the last post, though it is an appropriate song for this ever declining debacle, such a shame that only 4/5 of you are keeping this afloat

4/5 of us? That's an insult.

Only 2/5 of me is here today. The rest is busy.

And I'm still in the lead.

Floor finished Cubie. The other 3/5 has mowed the lawn and put out the bins and is now about to take the dog for a walk, go to the tip and tidy the garage (again!)

Laying a floor in the kitchen makes a lot of mess of sawdust in the workshop a.k.a. garage.

Actually can I really call it a garage when the last car in it was Trish's Mini (cross reference to other thread - clever eh?) and that was 28 years ago

there are only 4 or 5 of you keeping this and many other threads going, most of the old timers barely post at all , good to see 2 or 3 new posters but I doubt its enough to breathe life back into this corpse
even Baron Frankenstein couldn't bring this forum back to life ;-)

The good Baron is currently trying to breathe life into Stephen's nether regions so he can't spare the time to help us !

I think a lot of people have been put off by a history of mindless arguments in the past !

shame to see it decline so much
