OK at, say, £3.99 each for a decent plant, that comes to nearly £3,400. Still sounding like a good plan ?
Alternatively, a few quid for some packets of seeds - okay, you've got to wait for them to grow - or just plant a few "decent plants" and space them out (I don't know how sensitive a rabbit's sense of smell is - you may not need to plant close together) and take some cuttings to fill in the gaps?

By the time they have grown, the rabbit will have increased his family to 3,000 and they will already have eaten everything anyway

At least if there were 3,000 of them and the allotment was desert you'd be able to see them
