Chance would be a fine thing. Even if I had the chance I'd be unable to sleep 'cos of the racket being made by the builders as they strip the tiles off the bathroom walls.

They'll also be stripping the floor. The plumbing is being rerouted now that the bath has been removed. The plasterboard behind the bath and loo is water-damaged and must be replaced. The waste pipe into the soil stack wasn't fitted properly when the house was built, and apparently it's a wonder the waste actually went into the soil stack and not down the outside - and the parts are now a different size so everything has to be replaced. And there's a leak in the pipes coming out of the boiler.

Not long to go and then I am off for nearly 2 weeks. Weekend booze cruise on Aurora and then staying on for the fjords. Looks like it's going to be bloody cold! That would ruin my life so I shall be after compo!

Make sure you all behave and don't annoy the ModPlods so we still have a forum when I get back! Should be back on here on the 25th. Missing me already?!

You have my sympathy Alan. Been down that road twice. Nice when it's all done, but your glad to see the back of the trades and all the mess.
