If they haven't one of my lines will be "this has been going on for months now".

I'd continue to steer clear of the Euro 16 thread by the way. There is info on there you don't wish to see yet.

You may have to get Mrs C to switch the TV on and select the playback mode. Otherwise sod's law is you'll switch straight on to the sports news!

I'll make sure it's halfway through EastEnders or some such cobblers when I switch on

Not quite skint as some will be going back. Bleedin sizes are a nightmare. Just having a medicinal whisky to de-stress, well that's my excuse :D

I wonder if Cubie managed to watch the England/Wales match without knowing the score?

Just about. I did know in advance that Wales were leading at half time due to an internal e-mail about some of the other branches streaming the match live and then a kindly, misguided ModPlod tipped me the wink that something would happen right at the end. Otherwise, I didn't know the score or the result. Enjoyed the Christmas songs on the way home too !

None. Actually it went pretty well. The M&S store was pretty quiet people wise and no music assaulting my ears which was a bonus. Wouldn't dream of going at a weekend. A bit of nightmare getting out of Thurrock with road works everywhere. But all in all not a bad day. I won't be making a habit of it though.

I'm not - just checked my work email (I keep getting told off for that) to find an email from a family saying that they have seen that the museum is only open on weekdays but they're coming up anyway and would I please let them in for 15 minutes at lunchtime.

Er... no
