We had a lad in our dormitory who never bathed or showered. One night, we'd had enough of the smell and gave him the cold bath, scrubbing brush and scouring powder treatment.

His personal hygiene improved drastically thereafter...

Glad you all missed me and yes it was grim - up to your knees in mud is not my idea of fun!!!! However it was a good experience and am glad I went.

By the way Cubie - all the toilets seats were left up - only a very brave person would touch one of those!!! Mind you with all the wacky backy being smoked around you, after awhile you couldn't care less lol!

Hello
It's been a while since I posted on here (early May) we have been on a cruise to the Canary Islands (A611) a review will follow soon  when we got back our Son came for a visit (bank holiday) it was good to see him.
The following weekend we went on holiday to a cottage in Portessie near Buckie for a week it was lovely. We had lots of walks. The weather was better than while on the cruise! The cottage was a five minute walk to the nearby beach and in the opposite direction (5-10minutes walk) there was a disused railway which is now a pedestrian/cycle path our dog seemed to enjoy herself running a round then sleeping on someones lap in the evening. The cottage was well set up for self catering and there was pubs and restaurants in Buckie we enjoyed it! this retiring lark is so busy at times  That's enough for now, I'll be back to annoy you soon ;)
Wow - you were on the same cruise as me - look forward to your review!!

Hmm, I heard on Points West a few weeks ago that, while there will be a festival next year, it won't be at Glastonbury

As long as they line up some decent musicians and singers...I heard a recording of part of Adelle yesterday and wonder why she's held in such high esteem.

I've never been a great fan of Adele - and the little I saw on telly hasn't changed my view. Nice frock, but why does she need to swear every third word? Potty mouth.

ELO are not necessarily to my taste either but I thought they put on a really good show

If they are thinking of having Adele again, perhaps they could let the lions loose first ?!
