More importantly, muffle the bottles and never make eye contact

Once, Mrs C and I were "having words" as we passed through the Customs Hall which clearly started alarm bells ringing so we were pulled over and frisked. We always save it until we are in the car now !!

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Funny you mention that.
Years ago we were stopped at airport customs. 'Anything to declare Sir', 'no' I say.
Then Mrs S pipes up, 'what about the jewelry we brought'. X amount of £'s later.
Thanks dear

Curious thing here. There are warning notices about the risk of Norovirus. That's a surprise. If you believe the media and cruise forums you can only catch it on ships, especially third world plague cruise ships, more especially the doomed ones where the naming bottle didn't break. Who knew you could get it in hotels too? My life is ruined.
Just to add, the best overheard comment so far. "The trouble with this place is there's nowhere to have a sleep".
I know we booked an upgraded "Royale" room,, but I naively assumed even the basic ones had beds!

Must be regular cruisers - used to having a day-long kip in the coffee bar so no one else can get a table !!Mervyn and Trish wrote:Curious thing here. Perhaps they're used to the old seaside B and B's where you weren't allowed in your room during the dayqbman1 wrote:Must be regular cruisers - used to having a day-long kip in the coffee bar so no one else can get a table !!Mervyn and Trish wrote:Curious thing here. Merv, thanks for the "review" of your Warner's break, we have often wondered weather to try one, now methinks we will stick to cruising.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Probably a wise choice for now Towny. But actually a lot of it is okay. Our room and facilities are excellent, the hotel's setting is fabulous on the Solent, the food is pretty good, though the service is a bit hit and miss some days, the entertainment is good, with guest artistes on a par with most cruises and some good production shows too, though smaller scale than the bigger ships. The let down is the public rooms need a major refit. And some of the clientele are a law unto themselves. Last night's highlight was a woman who arrived in the show lounge after the perfomance had started and then began finding spare chairs and moving them to the front, making others stand so she could rearrange seats to fit them in! Priceless.towny44 wrote:Merv, thanks for the "review" of your Warner's break, we have often wondered weather to try one, now methinks we will stick to cruising.

Cheeky cow.
We have done a few Warner breaks, not any more. In the beginning they were good, have now gone right down hill. And they're not cheap by any means.

Would you be kind enough to point me in the direction if your review, Merv, please? I can't seem to find it...
