"carbon copy" ? How quaint !

The letter works, though - by changing just a few words, it meets every eventuality !
Yes, who remembers carbon paper?

I'm sure I recall a major feature of your letter was a complaint about a failure with the plumbing. So it should cover Stephen's case perfectly
The office's bank still uses it in the paying-in book.

I could do with a couple of large sheets, if anyone knows where I can get some from...
I believe Dunelm Mill is quite good for bedding

Well, when I went to Dunelm, the girl asked if I wanted bedding. Didn't realise it was that sort of place....

For some reason, I am reminded of an advert the Goons did for a major high street bank many years ago... "bark with banklays for better thinking, Neddy"

Well - so much for the hottest day in 55 years - here it was dark, thunder and lightening, hailstones and continuous rain all day. Telephone went off and electric kept flickering! Sun has come out now but what a waste of a day!

Sounds like the day we've had here Tinks - thunder and lightning and showers on and off all day - sun promised for us tomorrow - believe it when I see it

You two seem to have exported your thunderstorms to us, quite a light show and heavy rain, but probably not as bad as at Manchester city.

We have a thunderstorm & heavy rain here now, but apart from one 10minute downpour, daylight hours were very nice.

Having some wardrobes fitted today. Don't envy the fitter later on when the sun hits that room. Hot as hell

Can you please send some sun to Huddersfield today, its grey and murky out there, suits our mood though since we lost our unbeaten run at Brighton last night.
