There is a Solo Cruisers gathering every morning (or at least every sea day) , hosted by the entertainment team. Coffee and the opportunity to meet other similar travellers. You could well meet up with one or more like minded souls and end up going ashore together on general mooch-abouts, or taxi trips, which work out cheaper than the ship's excursions.

Do the suites have loungers on balcony or just chairs and a table. Also is it best to get a suite mid aft or right at the back of the ship??

I've had suites both at the back and side of a ship. My husband and I loved being at the stern (back) of the ship overlooking the wake. Some people don't like the noise of the water but we loved it. I have very fond memories of standing looking over the wake, watching as we left some port in the early evening, lights shining on a Caribbean island, us holding a glass of fizz and thinking how lucky we were. Not all ships have cabins overlooking the stern. Some people prefer to be in the middle of a ship if they feel they might be subject to sea sickness - incidentally we always took Stugeron to prevent sea sickness if necessary no matter which cabin we were in. Some people also say it's noisy at the stern because of the thrusters but this is only when going in or out of port and isn't too noisy. Given the choice I'd always opt for the stern of a ship for my cabin but you need to say which ship you are thinking of because not all have stern cabins. Midship suites are much more usual. As far as I remember we've always had loungers as well as table and chairs and sometime lounging chairs or whatever they're called, where the back of the chair will recline as well. Hope this helps.
