'Twas nice here earlier - but is now gray & damp.

Went to run the mower over the front straw patch to tidy it up and got talking to a neighbour. Went back to cut the grass and it started raining. Sun shining again now.

I have been doing an autumn clear up in the garden, and found a reasonable amount of amphibian/reptilian wildlife.

Isn't it nice when you visit a eatery for the first time and are pleasantly surprised.
Five of us had a really enjoyable lunch in a country café. Good wholesome home made food. Delicious.

Not long until I return to the good ship Arcadia - have any of you been to Venice on a cruise ship and is it walkable in or do I need a water taxi/shuttle?

Depends how far you like walking. We've done both

Hi Tinks, that is very walkable. From the port go to the main railway station, there you can get the water bus to the centre or follow the signs to San Marco which take you on foot to the to the centre. And the centre of attention, which for now is me, caurse I am in front.
