Since they seem to think "fathom" is much in demand, I would have thought the Behemoth would be more appropriate - but then perhaps the Yanks don't like beige ?! Come to think of it, some of them wouldn't fit into the lifts !

They refer to another Carnival ship, rather than P&O. Maybe Concordia is being repainted as we speak.

My take is that other Carnival brands will be offering "one off" Fathom cruises to Cuba.

Basically it is what I have said all along - this was a means for Carnival to get an exclusive foothold into cruising into Cuba

On a point of order to be grammatically correct - it was Merv and I

I and a mate were given detention at infants school for seeing who could pee highest so that's all behind me now.

But on the positive, good news she's coming home. Odd timing though. Next summer. Our 2017 cruising is all sorted, and 2018 is awaiting the Princess Europe programme next week. So it'll be 2019 before we "have a window" in our hectic holiday schedule (and bank balance). And I suspect other forward planners will be the same, with the rest of P&O and Cunard's summer 2018 programme on sale weeks ago.

Perhaps there'll be come bargains?

I said from day one there had to be something in this for Carnival and I think this confirms it ,, re-brand Adonia as Fathom as a means to getting a 'foothold' into Cuba and a few months on bring the rest of the Carnival fleet in and 'voila' they have a new cruise destination which no other cruise line has !! cynical .. perhaps !!!

It will be interesting to see what happens when President Trump takes up residence in the White House  :eh: :silent:

Actually ... a number of other cruise Lines can already dock in Cuba, it's only the Americans who cannot / do not.

ps ... It would be a nice touch if Adonia's visits to the Caribbean in 2017/18 were to include Cuba.
