Wouldn't it be nice, just for once, to be able to contact a call centre and not have some bleed'n Gupta answer the phone gibbering on like a tuppeny happeny book that you won't understand as long as you've got a hole up your a*rse.

On the plus side, I have just had to call AA insurance about a renewal and the bloke (in Newcastle) volunteered a landline number for me to call back if I needed to and when I did they then actually called me back.

Insurance companies are, however, a bunch of crooks ! They increased the renewal premium by 45% and just a quick call later, they immediately dropped the premium by £50

I hardly ever pay the renewal price.

Don't think I ever do any more but it makes everything such a hassle. Why they cannot just quote competitive prices and keep the business....?

Because while there are plenty of mugs out that can't be bothered to haggle, why would they bother.

I think I might punch the next person I meet who can't work a bleeding lift. It's easy. There's one button if you want to go up and another if you want to go down. And the illuminated arrow outside the lift shows which way it's going. How hard can it be?
