Your moggie sounds to be too pampered Stephen, I would recommend sleeping with earplugs, then he can miaow for all he's worth and you will sleep through it.

Lazy my a*se. Spent all day yesterday (yes, even in the rain during the morning) adding additional bunny-proofing measures to the allotments.

Why not plant a few extra rows of veg. just for the rabbits, far less hassle and much more animal friendly?

Towny, a nice thought but I don't think they will keep to their own rows! When out for a walk yesterday we saw a few dead rabbits don't know if it was desease or poisoning:( all in the same area.....

Re: Last One to Post Wins
If I were a cat and locked out I would.
It's ever since we had the new shed, I mean log cabin. The old shed I just cut a hole in the door and pinned some thick clear plastic sheet to cover it. They (when we had two cats) went in and out without a care. Now we have a proper cat flap he doesn't want to know. I've even shut him in there and flicked the flap back and forward to show him that he can get out if he wants, but oh no, he just sits thinking 'I'm not falling for that old one'.
And no, I'm not replacing it with a bit of plastic sheeting.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Our cat tends to over-think things. When I replaced an old cat flap into the conservatory last year with a different type, he convinced himself that it only opened outwards so when he wanted to get in, he spent ages trying to hook the flap open from outside. It took him a couple of weeks to work out he could just give it a shove !

I think I might reconsider the plastic sheeting solution in your situation Stephen.Stephen wrote: 15 Mar 2017, 07:30I'm thinking of getting his voice box and claws removed, the little git.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Seems to me the best solution is for Stephen to sleep in the shed and let the pusser have the run of the house !

No, the bu99er woke me up and probably half the neighbour hood crying to be let in 1.30 this morning , then four hours later is trying to take the kitchen door off it's hinges wanting to go out. I could have killed him.

You are going to have to swallow your pride and put a cat flap in the back door

Re: Last One to Post Wins
He won't use it, plus we don't want everyones cat coming in.
Reminds me of a story our neighbour told me. They fitted a cat flap to there back door and fitted one of those collars to the cat that releases the lock on the cat flap so only he could get in. Some time later the owner discovered that another cat (we know) had got wise to this and just tail end charlied the cat with the release collar and followed him in helping herself to his food
Who says cats aren't smart.

When we used to have a cat flap (our current cat can't be arsed) we once found a pigeon on the kitchen!

Just a pigeon? We've had a squirrel, rabbit, mice, voles, shrews, goldfish and countless birds, many unidentifiable in the past ! Luckily our current incumbent confines himself to toy animals, although he regularly moves them around the house and garden !

This one was live, unharmed and standing between the taps
