Unread post by Dark Knight »

We were originally due to go to Venice and the Adriatic in June, now due to a house move etc, we have re-booked our cruise for January next year for 2 weeks in the Carribean
We have not been there before and have no idea what to expect so any help or tips would be great
ports of call are:Barbados, Bonaire,Aruba,Curacao,Grenada,British Virgin Islands,St Barths,Antigua,Dominica,St Vincents and back to Barbados

Could be ... or Matlock Baths by the River Derwent for greater ambience perhaps, this option has the added bonus of having plenty of trees to tie one's hammock to

Plenty of Caribbean beaches with sunbeds but I don't ever recall seeing any hammocks :( maybe some of the hotels that have their own beaches have them you can use places like Sandals for the day ( for a fee :o ) do a bit of googling and see what is on offer.

Lateral thinking is required ..... so,

Take you own hammock and then look for two trees which are fit for purpose .... simples.

You try to help some people and what do you get?

As for MM knows his stuff. More likely he'll tell you to get stuffed. He's a proper cruiser, not one of you nouveau riche johnny come latelys.
