He had exhortations (from the skipper no less) to give them the 'excellent beyond all comprehension' rating in the passenger sorry, guest survey, as head office does not regard merely 'good' as good enough. He was almost apologising for having to say it though.

A soggy good morning to you all, glad to read that you missed mè, we did enjoy our cruise despite P&Os best endeavours. Quite a few surly characters in security and Passenger services could do with some extra training if they are ever going to provide good customer service, we boarded in just over an hour from arriving, most of it waiting for CPS chauffers, however we watched Town on our tablet in the hotel foyer over lunch, so did not arrive until 2:15 for a 3:30 boarding time, so probably not truly indicative of what we would normally experience.
However the food was much better than expected, although quite fish heavy on the MDR menus, the weather was superb, although how much that was due to P&O I'm not sure. I still prefer Celebrity but that's purely our choice.

Welcome back John. Glad you had a good time.

The weather has been very good here too, although we had heavy thunderstorms last night. We are sailing with celebrity for the first time in October, so it will be interesting to compare with P&O.
