I heard he brought in his Masters Voice gramophone and tried to play some old Doris Day 78's

In summary two senior presenters thought it was okay to talk about toilet paper and then play a record called "Shut up and let me go" up to the 1 minute silence for 80 people who died in the Grenfell fire.

When they received texted complaints from listeners they deleted them from the system.

When the station received a written complaint from a listener who preferred to remain anonymous they went into an apoplectic rage and threatened to damage equipment and take the station off air.

Then they threatened to inform the police to investigate and identify the listener whom they claimed had committed a serious crime by complaining.

Oh, and as well as being presenters they are the current Chairman and Vice Chairman of the station's Board of Directors.

As the station's founders we decided we could try to fight them or stand down and go and do something else. We opted for the quiet life
