All James Bond films are rubbish in my considered opinion, almost a bad as Formula 1. I win.

True, but still an enjoyable romp. IMO, OHMSS was the worst. Roger Moore brought light comedy to the role and Pierce Brosnan restored some of Connery's gravitas. I think the franchise went downhill after Brosnan left. I didn't rate Timothy Dalton and I just cannot take to Daniel Craig as Bond. For all that Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace were supposedly before the Sean Connery era in the James Bond timeline, they were set in the present and, given the film makers' undoubted talent for period dramas I think we lost continuity (the same went for the Star Wars prequels). I enjoyed Skyfall as a film, but not as a Bond film - I think, really, the only nod to the gadgetry etc was the brief appearance of the Aston Martin.
