Wish I had been Stephen but the past few weeks have been a bit stressful and today was really difficult - I had to have my little Cairn terrier put to sleep - I know she was 16 and a half and her quality of life was poor but it's still awful although very peaceful for her. Going to take some getting used to and at the moment I feel a bit lost

Sorry to hear that Jan. As pet owners we all know it'll happen one day but that doesn't make it any easier. But never forget the good times over those 16 years.

P.s. I love my implant too. And hated the bill. Could have kept the gap and had a cruise!

Thanks Merv - it is difficult but inevitable and having to take the decision on your own is so hard.

PPS Do you find yourself looking at people with gaps in their teeth though and saying you wish they would do something about it - best thing I ever did

I'm so sorry to hear about your little dog it's heart breaking news. We have been through this experience as well. We lasted 18months with out a dog but even after that time the house didn't feel the same. Although we have said when we lose our dog she will be the last as we will probably be to old for another one.

I have to agree with you about people with gaps where teeth should be especially if it's in the front where you can't avoid looking at it. I would hate it :silent: I always notice people's teeth  can't help myself perhaps it's because I have spent a small fortune on dental treatment over the years  :D

Oh dear Jan, so sorry to hear that. I have been there many times with our cats and it never gets any easier, but take some comfort in knowing that you done right by her through out her life and her final days. Trust me, you will get over it and always remember your little friend with love and fond memories x
